DIA is one of the many airports that have had flights cancelled due to the government shutdown. These flights have stranded people away from their homes, and will hopefully go back to normal now that the government is back up.

On September 27, a home game against BYU resulted in fans chanting anti-Mormon dismissives, for which CU was fined $50,000 by the Big 12. While no one is questioning if the behavior at the game was appropriate, there is some doubt that CU's new fan policing measures and the Big 12's flurry of fines are actually preventing bad fan behavior. The student log in page for Bluebook, the app used to take the PSAT and SAT on. While some students excel on the PSAT and SAT tests, the school as a whole is not as high as expected. This can be changed by helping prepare for the tests earlier on, and just giving students more ways to learn about the content on the tests.

Girls Volleyball Bests Erie in Postseason Run
Frederick’s unified bowling team is made up of many amazing students, they all work hard to get to where they are right now. The team is doing well so far this bowling season, their last game is next week and they are working as hard as they can to win.

While Frederick started off kind of rocky at the game against Poudre, they came back. The Golden Eagles came back and got the victory, with the final score standing at 28-36 with Frederick bringing home another victory.

Frederick kept their winning streak after playing against Montebello High School for the homecoming game on Friday. The Golden Eagles scored 42 points, while Montebello scored 21 points. The Golden Eagles are on a winning streak, and hope to keep it up.

NBA Faces New Gambling Allegations

A total of 34 NBA players, including Terry Rozier, and Chauncey billups, have been caught in a gambling scandal

In the mists of a gambling scandal, 34 players including Chauncey Billups, Terry Rozier, and former player Damon Jones were arrested on October 16th 2025. They used insider information about player injuries and other insider information to gain high ground on bets.

As well as sports betting, there has also been reports on illegal rigged poker gambling between the players. The players were also accused of faking injuries to increase the likelihood of betters to win their bets. It is still currently ongoing and unknown how the defendants pled to the charges as well as who the victims were or who else was involved as the scaling of this scandal is possibly immeasurable.

The team’s interim coach Tiago Splitter has been made head coach for the time being. He nor other team members have spoken on the situation. The backlash to the NBA has been many gambling regulations and regulations on general sports betting as well. The rigging of the poker games were allegedly stated to have lured unknowing players in who did not know that the games were rigged.

The total amount of money has not been revealed but an anonymous victim came out and stated they lost “over 1.8 million dollars.” The sentencing could span over 8 years for insider gambling as well as rigging poker games for each suspect of the case. The total could likely amount to over 10 million dollars due to the high stake players in the gambling ring but more information still needs to be released to determine such.

Now that sports betting is becoming more and more popular, issues like these could be popping up more often. Sports betting can be a dangerous thing, especially when it is done illegally. It can result in players on numerous teams to get in trouble. When players on basketball teams get in trouble, it makes the team look bad, which creates a domino effect of bad things that can happen for that team.

Popular sports betting apps that have recently become very popular are Bet MGM, Draft Kings, and FanDuel. These apps while they can be fun and cool to get to do, can be tricky and it’s always important to make sure that anything being bet on is not illegal. Doing illegal betting can get anyone arrested, including any big NBA stars.

The FBI has already arrested six people, including the current and former NBA players.

Luckily for Colorado, the Nuggets are not apart of this scandal. They have not done the illegal betting, keeping them out of trouble.
