The Theatre Department Gets a Clue
Sophomores Odin Wridt and Orion Freeman and junior Erik Esqueda-LeRoi jam in front of the gym doors in the commons during second lunch on December 10, 2024. All three are members of Frederick High's School of Rock class, which elected to perform during both lunches as a final for their class. In School of Rock, Mr. Liss teaches students how to cover and create their own rock, pop, country, and hip-hop songs.

The student log in page for Bluebook, the app used to take the PSAT and SAT on. While some students excel on the PSAT and SAT tests, the school as a whole is not as high as expected. This can be changed by helping prepare for the tests earlier on, and just giving students more ways to learn about the content on the tests.

Mr. Coon, Staff Adviser

Mr. Brandon Coon has been the adviser of the Frederick Lantern for the past seven years. In his fourteen years in the classroom (ten of which have been at Frederick High), he has taught subjects as diverse as AP Literature, literacy, drama, tech theatre, world history, yearbook, study skills, and computer science. Mr. Coon also sponsors Frederick’s chapter of the Quill and Scroll International Society for High School Journalists and the Frederick Film Society. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Northern Colorado and is a member of Sigma Tau Delta.​
