Senior Elayna Fisher has almost made it to the end of high school, and all of the hard work she has put in since freshman year is about to pay off.
Elayna has taken a large amount of AP classes throughout high school, including AP Calculus A/B, AP Calculus B/C, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP English Literature, AP English Language and Composition, AP Seminar, AP U.S. Government, AP Comparative Government, AP U.S. History, and AP Human Geography.
Not only has Elayna taken all of those AP classes, she has also taken honors Algebra 2, Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, and Honors English.
Elayna is definitely different than the rest of the kids at Frederick, and in the best way possible. She always manages to brighten up a room, and always maintains a positive attitude even when things get tough. She has always put in 100% effort, and will continue on with this mindset.

She has maintained a great GPA throughout high school as well. She has participated in many sports and activities, including softball for four years, basketball for two years, choir for four years, and National Honors Society for three years. Fisher has also been a peer tutor for AP Chemistry during her senior year.
Out of all of the classes Elayna took, her favorites were AP Calculus and AP Chemistry. “I absolutely loved Mr. Crosby for calc and Coach Clapp for chemistry. These two teachers made their classes so fun while also learning a lot. They would be willing to stay late to help us understand all of the material. My favorite subject is math, and both of these classes are math based which really appeal to my analytical brain.”
With everything Fisher is involved with, she has definitely accomplished some major things. Elayna has lettered in all four years of softball, is on track to letter in all four years of choir, and also four years of academics. She has also recieved several Academic Excellence awards throughout her time in high school.
She has also recieved CHSAA 2nd Team All-State, All Conference, CHSCA All-State, CCGS All-State, Varsity Pitcher of the Year, and Varsity MVP of the Year for softball this high school season.

Outside of school, Elayna can be found playing piano, playing softball, doing crafts, cat sitting, and spending time with her family. She is always finding a love for something new, and is willing to try anything.
After high school, Elayna is going to attend college for softball and academics at Dominican University. She will be double majoring in Mathematics at Dominican University and Civil Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. Elayna wishes to pursue a career as a water resources engineer with these degrees.
Elayna will miss high school, but she will go on to make many memories in college and get to experience new opportunities along the way. One of her favorite memories from high school is when the softball team won regionals and got to go to the state tournament this school year.
“I was pitching, our team was playing lock down defense, we had an explosive offense, and an electric bench. After losing to Air Force earlier in the season, we came out with a hunger to win this time in regionals. When the last pitch was thrown and the game was over, we sprinted together and were jumping with such excitement!”
If Elayna could give a freshman any advice, she would say “You should always make time for the things that are most important to you because they are the things that you will hold close to you for the rest of your life.”
Elayna Fisher has for sure made a huge impact on the community here at Frederick High School, and will go onto college and continue to make a difference in her community.
