Four years may seem like a lot of time, but for Isa Bosica, the years were filled with passion and activities, making the years fly by. From P-Tech and enriching academics to Troupe 4391 and countless shows, Isa filled her time so there was never a dull moment.
When Isa was a freshman she joined Frederick’s P-Tech program, a rigorous program only offered at Frederick and Skyline. It allows a group of students to graduate from Frederick with not only a high school diploma, but an associates degree from Aims Community College. This program requires students to have a strict course schedule and also participate in a summer internship program to gain work experience. This allows them to graduate with a step up, propelling them into their next academic and professional endeavors.
Throughout her four years, Isa took a variety of classes, many being college courses to help obtain her degree. She started as a freshman by taking AP Human Geography and Find Your Career. Her sophomore year she took APUSH, AP Seminar, and Intro to Manufacturing.
Isa noted that across her four years, APUSH was one of her favorite classes along with AP Government, AP Biology, and Public Speaking. She said that “These classes were ones that I was drawn to, and that I felt were very fulfilling at the end of the day. I loved having all of these teachers, especially Mr. Wellington.”
She finished her upper classman years taking AP Bio, AP Gov, AP Language and Composition, Introduction to Biotechnology, AP Chemistry, Public Speaking, Introduction to Statistics, and Art Appreciation.

Alongside Isa’s enriching academic experience, she has also been involved in the Frederick theatre and music department for all four years. She was involved in theatre and orchestra as an underclassman before transitioning into choir her junior year to grow her skillset for upcoming performances.
This helped her grow as a performer, as did her relationship with Mr. Brown, the choir director at Frederick. When looking back on her teachers, Isa said that Mr. Brown has “been really inspirational to me and has always encouraged me to try my hardest, even if I don’t think I can achieve it.”
By the end of this year, Isa will have participated in 19 shows at Frederick, a feat that does not go unnoticed. While choosing just one favorite was a difficult task, Isa decided on her role as Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Frederick’s Spring 2025 production.
“It was my first lead, I also got to work with all of my favorite people. It was especially special to me because we had a children’s chorus, and I love working with kids. I’ll always treasure the moments I spent with those kids, and I still get excited when I see them today.”
After Isa graduates, she may decide to do some community theater, but knows that she wants to continue her love for singing through choir.

Adding onto her long list of extracurricular activities, Isa was also a Link Crew leader her sophomore through senior year. Isa said that “I helped freshmen settle into high school. This year, I got to help my own sister settle into her freshman year, which I felt was very fulfilling and took me back to how I felt on my own first day of school. I met so many great people through this club, and created lasting friendships.”
All of these experiences led to Isa’s decision to commit to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley to continue her academic career. At UNC, she is planning to pursue a degree in nursing like her mom did before her. Her end goal is to become a pediatric nurse and help kids.
Outside of Frederick High School, Isa takes voice lessons, works as a Disney party princess, watches tiktok, spends time with her friends, and travels with her family. In the future she dreams of traveling the world, taking joy from her previous experiences of going to Disneyland with Varsity Blue and her numerous family trips.
Looking back at her time at Frederick, Isa reflected on her favorite memories of friend-filled off-blocks and what she wished someone would have told her on her first day: “You don’t have to love high school. You also don’t have to stay friends with the same people, especially as you grow into a new person. Don’t make yourself a doormat and remember that you’re the main character in your life. It’s okay to prioritize yourself because at the end of the day, high school is only four years that will eventually blur together with the rest of your school years.”
So although Isa’s time at Frederick is coming to an end, she is excited for the future that lies ahead.
