Julissa Solorzano

Julissa Solorzano, Social Media Manager

Julissa is a senior at Frederick High who has rejoined the Lantern staff for her second year after a gap year. During her first year on staff, she managed The Lantern's social media. Julissa is also involved in the Biomedical Foundations program and enjoys exploring new countries and learning new languages.  After high school, Julissa plans to enroll in a postsecondary medical program to become a certified nurse anesthetist.

A screenshot of @FHSBathroomShoes, one of several Frederick parody accounts made and taken down in the past week. The extent of parody accounts posting potentially harmful content about Frederick students and staff have led to Instagram being blocked on student iPads and other district devices accessible by students. Yet this isnt the first time Frederick has gone up against social media gone bad--the question is, will it be the last time?
