Senior Gabe Hernandez is like no other senior at Frederick High School. He is a smart, funny, caring person who is always willing to be involved in anything.
Throughout his four years here at FHS, Gabe has been in Theater, Varsity Blue, Yearbook, Green Club, Link Crew, and he is a leader for the Latino Leadership club.
Gabe really has done it all, he is always finding ways to be more involved with the school. During his junior year, he was the manager for the volleyball team, and he has also been a manager for the wrestling team.
Out of all the classes he took throughout high school, his favorites are Yearbook and Varsity Blue. “Yearbook is one of my favorites because I love to take photos and I love getting to make the yearbook as well. Varsity Blue is another one of my favorites because I get to sing and dance which are my favorite things to do.”

After high school, Gabe’s plans are to attend either Colorado State University or the University of Colorado Springs. He plans to partake in an engineering program of aero space so he can study about space.
Outside of school, Gabe loves to read, write, draw, and sing. He finds a passion in being creative, which sets him apart from others. When he is not using his creativity, he works at Del Taco to earn money.
Gabe finds his inspiration from his sister. He says his sister is one of his biggest role models in life. “She took care of me when I was younger and I was always by her side. She’s one of the reasons I started to sing and join theater and I just want to be like her when I grow up.”
One of Gabe’s favorite memories from high school was his first day during freshman year. “I was so excited to come to high school and just walking in the hallways that my siblings have been in before gave me a sense of nostalgia. I love getting to experience new things and get to meet my friends for the first time.”

When Gabe was asked if he could go back to freshman year and change something he said he would have joined everything sooner. “I joined everything that I had originally wanted to join freshman year my senior year so I don’t have as many memories as I would have if I joined first year. I would also have pushed myself to start sport sooner as well.”
Gabe is a bright, talented senior who really made a difference at Frederick. he got involved in everything he could, and always made a change in the community.
