Senior Sonny Delpizzo has helped out a lot at Frederick High School, he shows his love towards the school and its activities and is also very passionate about his family and his achievements. Sonny has been playing football since he was born but he also plays basketball starting at the age of 7.
Depending on how football works out, after high school Sonny wants to play football somewhere for college, but if football doesn’t work he wants to go to college here in Colorado.
His goal is to make it to college but it is still undecided, “My dream college is CU because I want to stay home where my family is”. If Sonny were to go to college for something other than football, he wants to follow in his dad’s steps in construction management or something with business. He plans on getting his realtor license when he turns 18 but he really is open to anything.

There is a lot to miss after graduating high school, and Sonny says he will definitely miss the community of Frederick and the talent it has. He says “Being a high schooler, you get a pretty big leadership position and helping out others and being friends with everybody, it’s just amazing”. He will miss all the activities Frederick provides for its students like sports, parades, and more.
Sonny took quite a few AP classes throughout high school. Sonny is involved in AP government, AP language, AP literature, AP psychology, AP seminar and AP US history. His favorite classes though were Anatomy and AP US history. APUSH was his top because he really liked the teacher, and principals of marketing and geometry.
Throughout high school, Sonny really enjoyed playing football with his friends and family, he had family on the team and before each game they would come get him and say “I trust you, you trust me, lets do it for family and father”.
Sonny says his biggest accomplishment was putting his family’s name out there “The Delpizzo Family” he feels he presents his family in every way, “I am very proud of myself for respecting them in every way I can. If we put our mind to it, we can get anything done.”
Sonny would like to thank his dad and his mom, Sonny says “Teaching me everything and showed me everything and whenever it’s a hard time he knows exactly what to say and do and carries himself as an independent man and the way he over comes things.”
Sonny would like to thank is mom for truly just being so amazing, “My mom has always put us first, no matter if it was in the darkest time”. Sonny really looks up to his dad for that, “I would be lucky to be just the man he is.” Sonny would also like to thank his grandpa for just being so amazing and still showing up for every game, “Just seeing him there and the way he pushes through life everyday is amazing.”
