Daredevil Born Again is a new Marvel show created by Matt Corman and Chris Ord that seeks to continue the story from the first Daredevil show. Unfortunately, the story relies heavily on baseline knowledge of the past show and works as a fourth season, which might hurt newcomers’ enjoyment. However, the show so far is an excellent addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is well worth the watch.
The story of Daredevil Born Again revolves around Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) having to quit the Daredevil alter ego due to crossing the line. In contrast, the Kingpin quits being a villain, but events cause them to go back to their old ways. Also, the series can show the public’s views of events in Hell’s Kitchen using interview segments, which is great.
Episode 1 opens with a bang, including a fight scene that uses questionable-looking CGI and does not feel as good as the fight scenes in the previous Daredevil show. However, there is a very impactful moment towards the end of the fight that is very well done.
Episode 2 is the strongest so far in the series, with a great conflict throughout the whole episode that revolves around a lesser-known superhero, and the fight scene at the end was very entertaining.
Episode 3 was very interesting because the entire episode revolves around a trial, which they are still trying to make very interesting. However, the ending felt lackluster and was done a lot better in the comics.

The acting for this show is overall amazing. Many of the actors can put a lot of
heart into their characters. An example of this is Charlie Cox, who can portray a ton of emotion for the emotional character that is Daredevil, and Vincent D’Onofrio can perfectly portray Kingpin’s cold nature.
Music has been able to fit the scene they are put in perfectly, which helps them hold more impact while watching them. The cinematography also looks amazing, which helps set the tone of certain scenes.
In conclusion, Daredevil: Born Again is not able to live up to the quality shown in the first series, but this does not mean the show is not good. If it continues on the trajectory it is going, it is going to be one of the best Marvel TV shows and is recommended to people that watched the first show but not newcomers since background knowledge is needed to fully enjoy it.
