Homecoming week is a huge event at Frederick, this is the biggest event that you will see Frederick high school students really participate in and have the best week of the year. This year the homecoming theme will be Hollywood, students have had all week to prepare for all the homecoming games and Freddy spirit. Freddy spirit is something that the Frederick high school came up with, it is always on the Friday before homecoming all students are recommended to wear Frederick colors and really show how much they love their school.
This year since the theme is Hollywood the spirit days for homecoming week are: Monday= Black and white Tuesday= jersey day Wednesday= twin day Thursday= Hawaiian day and Friday= Freddy spirit. The decorations for this year’s theme are Hollywood themed so maybe a red carpet and some stars. Think about it as if you spent a day in Hollywood and you see the star sidewalk and celebrities names all over plus the huge Hollywood sign.
Homecoming week is probably something that every single high school student looks forward to. Especially people who have games like the homecoming football game which is the messy exciting game of the year, but before every homecoming game we have a parade with any team or club or band or anything from Frederick has an opportunity to show off and share this exciting event with everyone from Frederick. Then after the parade we have a small barbecue and then we get started on the football game.
A really big group that we really have to thank because they have planned this whole week for Frederick high school is the student council. Student council has worked their busts off trying to make this week perfect and special for Frederick. They plan the homecoming assembly which is the Friday of the football game where the whole school is invited and everything that is in the assembly is planned and organized by the student council. They work from the idle of summer to get the homecoming theme and then once school starts that is all they do is plan for the whole homecoming week.
Last but not least, Saturday September 14 is our 2024 homecoming. This is the day that every Frederick high school student waits for. On Saturday homecoming will be so beautiful it will be a night nobody will ever forget. The whole school will be on the west side of Frederick outside having the time of their lives. I will not put any spoilers for this special night but alls I have to say is it will be the best night ever.
