Tuesday September 13, 2022 the Frederick boys soccer team, the Golden Eagles had gone against the Erie tigers.

Throughout the game there were many ups and downs. The Eagles have been defeated once again but this does not stop them from trying their best.

The Erie boys soccer team was very competitive and they had sadly beat us in both games, Jv and varsity. The Jv game had ended with a score of 1-0 favoring Erie.

The Jv team gave it their all and it was very close to being tied with the Erie Jv team but unfortunately they didn’t take the victory. Although they gave it their all and fought hard throughout the whole game.

Let’s not also forget the Varsity team. The varsity team had also lost to a score of 2-0. The Erie varsity team had scored two goals while our team had sadly not scored any goals.

In the second half of the game one of the Eagles varsity players #4, Alex Jauregui had been injured in the middle of playing. Thankfully this injury was not very bad and no emergency care had to be called.

This has not been our first loss but both our Jv and Varsity teams give it they’re all when they are on that field. They don’t go down with out a fight, and you can see how hard they work through the whole game.

Throughout the varsity game there were many times where the Golden Eagles were very close to scoring. As the adrenaline would get higher when the ball would get close to the opponents goal we still sadly were unable to put the ball in the back of the net.

Although both of the Eagles soccer teams had been defeated they still walked off that field with their heads up high, and some with a smile on their faces.

The season just started and this was their fifth game, but hopefully there are many wins to come.

If they lose they can learn from their mistakes and get better by using it as a learning opportunity to grow as a team and as individuals.

Both of the Eagles teams have given it there all during these games and hopefully next time they will take the victory once again.
