Sierra Sanchez, Staff Writer

Sierra is a senior who has joined the Lantern staff for the first time this year. She has a passion for acting and is the co-president of Frederick’s thespian Troupe. When she is not reporting for the Lantern, she is participating in a variety of theatrical productions, performing in Frederick’s Varsity Blue show choir, and spending time with friends and family. After graduation, she plans to major in Musical Theatre and minor in Business at the University of Northern Colorado.

MICHAEL ALLRED: A Lesson in Alchemy

Frederick Theatre department students learn the auditioning dance on the first day of auditions out of three days. The student learned the dance in 20 minutes and they were give 5 minutes to practice before the official audition began. Despite being a stressful process, the auditioners enjoyed the challenge of the audition process.

According to Peyton, On the audition form, we ask everyone if they are comfortable with playing an intimate role. We also look act the maturity of the actors--for example, we never pair a freshman with a senior.
