Allison McCormick, Assistant Copy Editor

Allison McCormick is a junior who joined the Lantern staff this year. Allison enjoys covering athletics, student interest pieces, and senior spotlights. She can often be found in the school’s various English classrooms or in the cafeteria with friends. When not reporting for the Lantern, Allison enjoys playing soccer, spending time with friends and family, and binge-watching TV shows at home with her dog.

Always behind the camera, but never in front. Chris Tone is a valued Frederick photographer that never fails to make it to FHS sporting events, supporting the school in all the ways he can. Next to him is Jenna Johnston, junior, who is a member of the yearbook staff. Jenna told the Lantern how, “taking photos for Frederick is such a fun and exciting experience. I enjoy getting to support all the sports [that] I love while also capturing memories for all of our athletes.”

Marsing Magic. Most people have heard of Mr. Marsing one way or another. Whether it be about his history class or his coordination of GEBN, Marsing is always involved in school events. At the basketball game on Monday, Marsing provided live commentary and helped hype up the small but mighty Rowdy Crowd.

Looking for the perfect pass, Rylee Gallegos looks for a way out of a sticky situation. All throughout the night, Loveland’s defense was strong, but Frederick was able to fight past it to put points on the board.

Loveland 22 vs. Frederick 25. Number 22 was the lead point scorer for Loveland, but she was still not a match for the Frederick defense. Zoe Wittler, senior, noted how the “defense was really good, specifically our energy and intensity, and I thought we shared the ball well, getting easy hits [and] making easy points.”
