Lantern Lit is the student literary magazine of Frederick High School, 5690 Tipple Parkway, Frederick, Colorado. Our school population is currently 1,437 students.

Lantern Lit is a project supported by the Frederick High English Department and student members of the Quill and Scroll International Honor Society for High School Journalists. Frederick students and their English teachers submit high-quality original art and writing to Lantern Lit, whose student editors select pieces to feature both on the Lantern Lit page of the Frederick Lantern site and printed issues of the magazine distributed on campus 2-3 times per year.

Lantern Lit also holds up to four student writing contests each school year, beginning with the Teen Nightmare Narrative Contest in October.

Lantern Lit is open to publishing original writing and art from any FHS student, teacher, administrator, alumnus, or parent if they meet our publishing guidelines below. To submit a story, click here.
