Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis is part biography, part rock concert, and all shook up

The Elvis Movie was released on June 24, 2022. After I watched it once I wanted to go back and watch it again, this movie was amazing. The film follows the life of rock and roll icon, singer, and actor Elvis Presley told from the perspective of his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Throughout the movie, Elvis had a lot of relationships that he gained and lost throughout the movie. He went through a lot like the loss of his mom and the betrayal of his manager. His mom didn’t like the idea of Elvis getting famous because she thought he was going to forget about her. She also agreed that he was spending his money on unnecessary stuff like cars, houses, clothes, etc.
They included racism in the movie because Elvis got along with black people and had the type of genre music they had which some states did not like or appreciate. He would go hang out with his black friends and people would share in the newspaper and would talk crap about him. Elvis liked gospel music and wanted to be as inspiring as they are so he started singing like them and even singing with some of them. The states tried to shut down his carrier and cancel him because all of the girls liked the way he wiggled. Austin Butler did a great job acting even though everything was good, I think they could have added where they found him dead like he was found sitting on the toilet which they did not include. The costumes feel like they matched the real Elvis because they were always so flashy and eye-catching just for the ladies, he made the most money off of them. When his mom died they did explain that he hit rock bottom and stopped caring about things, he started popping pills and ended up dependent on them. He was mistreating his wife and would buy things that he didn’t need, so he was just wasting money.
Also, they failed to mention that all the girls he slept with were under age which makes him look really bad but they didn’t tell that much because he was supposed to be a good guy “The King Of Rock and Roll”. He worked on music and became famous so much that it made him so exhausted. He was sleep deprived, couldn’t think straight for some time, and would pass out almost because he was a drug abuser. Austin Butler did a great job acting this role and looked so alike to Elvis Presley which made it even better. Then they would switch to actual footage of Elvis which was cool as well.
I would one hundred percent recommend this movie for people to watch because overall it was a great movie. If you like action and drama as well as a thriller this movie is definitely for you. Don’t miss it while in theaters trust me you will regret it.
