Beach Bunny, the indie pop band fronted by Lili Trifilo, has captured listeners with their emotionally resonant songs and their energetic performances. Their latest album Tunnel Vision released on April 25 and kicked off their 2025 tour, which opened in Columbus, Ohio. The atmosphere for this concert was amazing–the crowd was very excited, and the design was amazing.
Beach Bunny formed in 2015 as a solo project by Lili Trifilio. Her first song “6 Weeks” was recorded in her bedroom, but just two years later, her project had grown into a full band. “ Prom Queen,” which was released in 2018, gained significant attention. Since then, their albums Honeymoon and Emotional Creature have solidified their place in the indie music landscape.
The venue was at the Summit in Denver, Colorado. Summit has a balcony for people to sit on and a big area for people to stand as well as the bar that was to the right of the standing area. The crowd energy was through the roof. Some people started to crowd surf, and others started to mosh pit. Everyone was singing along as the Beach Bunny sang, and even during one song, people turned their flashlights on. The stage setup consists of certain items that are shown on Beach Bunny albums, such as the window, curtains, shelf, and bed. The sound quality was very good, as we could hear everything.
The opening act for Beach Bunny was Scarlet Demore. Their genre mainly consisted of rock music. Scarlet Demore helped set the stage and set the crowd before Beach Bunny came on. During her songs, people were jumping up and down and rocking out to her music.
Beach Bunny’s setlist mainly consisted of her recent album Tunnel Vision while putting a few hits in the middle, such as “ Prom Queen” and “Cloud 9.” Lili’s stage presence was very vibrant as she encouraged everyone to crowd surf and to turn up the energy. She interacted with the crowd from time to time by grabbing bracelets from the crowd to grab a pink cowboy hat.
The audience was very hyped up. When popular songs from the newest album (“Vertigo” and “Tunnel Vision”) started, the crowd went wild and started shouting out every lyric to those songs. The audience also interacted with other audience members by trading bracelets, which Beach Bunny encouraged.
After Denver, Beach Bunny heads to Salt Lake City, Utah. If you want to attend a Beach Bunny concert, go for it. It was one of the best concerts I’ve been to because of the energy and Beach Bunny’s stage presence with everyone and her crew. Definitely go with friends so you can scream your lungs out, and bring some cash for the amazing merch.
