The Battle Camp is a new Netflix reality show starting with 18 Contestants hosted by Taylor Lewan. The contestants do challenges to determine the final winner and they will receive $250,000. The fate of the show is decided by the spin of a wheel with 18 spaces.
The show stars contestants like those who have been on other reality shows like dating shows The Perfect Match, Too Hot To Handle. Or other shows like The Mole, The Circle etc.. The challenges done in this camp are physical, intelligence, and agility challenges among more. Some examples of the challenges include whoever stays in the ice bath longer wins, whoever gets the most steps wins.
Although most contestants didn’t know each other at first, everyone built a lot of strong friendships. The cast shows a lot of diversity from adding different contestants from different backgrounds. The show is based on 3 groups named The Eagles, The Wolves and The Bears.
The teams get shorter and shorter throughout the show as eliminations go by. The winning team gets immunity from the wheel and also gets to pick 3 punishments for other campers the next morning.
Eliminations are made up starting with the losing team getting their names put up on a wheel and the leftover spots get filled by votes from the campers. The teams usually come to a group decision and decide who they will all vote for as a team.
Although that really doesn’t matter because it is all in luck from the wheel spinning. Contestants names can be on the wheel 7 times and with luck they can get skipped and stay for another night.
Once the teams lose a teammate, they receive a new teammate from the outside. This continues until the teams keep getting shorter. 3 teams become 2, 2 become 1. During the last group elimination the last group of people are separated to continue their journey as solo players to reach the goal of $250,000.
In the last spin there is a twist, instead of the wheel choosing someone to eliminate. The wheel chooses who takes the prize and the name on the wheel were decided by challenge winners, punishments winners, and contestants’ votes.
