Brinley Weingardt is a name that everyone in the halls of Frederick knows. A standout student in academics, an athlete who always supports her teammates, and an actor who shines on stage.
When asked what advice she would give to underclassmen, Brinley said this: “Be kind to others and be there for the person that needs it. You never know what someone is going through and so be there for your friends and your loved ones, and even for people you don’t know well.”
This statement truly reflects the kind of person Brinley is.
Throughout her time at Frederick, Brinley has been enrolled in a variety of classes, many being honors or AP. As a junior, Brinley was in AP Language and AP Government before moving into AP Literature and Composition for her senior year.
In addition to these core classes, Brinley is heavily involved in the arts. She has been a part of the FHS choir program all four years, including Varsity Blue which is an audition based performing group.
“I’ll be forever grateful for the relationships I’ve had with these people and doing theatre has helped me grow as a person.”
As many know, Brinley has also been a stand out student in the performing arts through the theatre department.
Brinley has portrayed many characters and taken on many different roles, but her favorite was Sophie in Mamma Mia her junior year.
She said that, “It was truly a dream come true and we pulled off the show really well. I made so many amazing memories that I’ll never forget.”
While Brinley will not be continuing theatre in college, she is glad that she took advantage of the opportunity to do it in high school.

From her experience in these classes, Brinley met and got to know her favorite teacher, Mr. Brown.
Brinley said, “My favorite teacher at Frederick High School would be Mr. Brown because he cares about me and is always asking how I’m doing. And he’s a super funny guy and I’ve taken many of his classes so I know him pretty well.”
Some of Brinley’s other favorite teachers were Mrs. Bowes and Ms. Aasmundstad because their teaching styles resonated with her and they always showed her a lot of kindness.
In addition to being an actor, Brinley was also an athlete her first two years of high school. After her sophomore year, Brinley decided to focus more on acting, but was happy that she still got to experience being a student athlete and make memories with her teammates.
While Brinley made countless memories while she was at Frederick, some of her favorites were attending her junior prom and her time on the Mamma Mia set.
Brinley said that she really loved, “The beginning of the show when I was sitting in the boat. This was such a magical experience and it’s something I’ll never get to do again.” For Mamma Mia, the theatre department had built an extravagant set that included a little rowboat that sat atop the stage, giving the illusion of Brinley floating on water.
After high school, Brinley is attending Southern Utah State to study early childhood development. With her studies, Brinley will be working towards becoming a speech therapist.
Brinley says that she loves working with kids, which led her to following this career path. She is hoping to get her bachelor’s degree in early childhood development before moving onto receive her masters degree in speech and hearing sciences from a different university.
Outside of school, Brinley enjoys playing sports, especially pickleball. She also enjoys going outdoors to hike and paddle board, and baking.
In her four years at Frederick, Brinley has had an impact on her community in many ways. From being a team player, a standout student, an actor that many came to admire, and overall, just by being an amazing person.
