Malia Jeffers is an honor roll student at Frederick High School. She has maintained honor roll all four years of high school, and is 5th in her graduating class of 2025. Malia has taken mostly honors, AP and college classes, and likes to challenge herself.
Malia does not know for sure what college she is going to attend, she has multiple choices but her hope is to get into Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah. She wants to study political science and have a double major in sociology. She will not be taking a gap year after graduation, just going straight to college. After high school, Malia wants to be a lawyer.
After she graduates, Malia says she will miss AP human geography, AP literature and jazz choir. Her greatest accomplishment throughout her High School career is bringing an issue to the school board and making a proposal to the school. Her favorite year was freshman and senior year, sophomore year was her least favorite. She says Mr Wellington (history and yearbook) and Mr Samson, a previous teacher at FHS who taught AP human geography impacted her the most.
Malia has been apart of many clubs and after school activities. She is president of key club, jazz choir and national honors society. She is also a member of student advisory council, literature club and student senate. She also was apart of the swim team her freshman year. As well as doing things for the school, Malia does things outside of school as well. She is involved in church and is president of her youth organization for young women.
Malia says she is a highly curious person. She has made lots of memories during high school, but her favorite memory was her junior year prom, having fun with her friends and seeing a house caught on fire after the dance ended. Malia had fun with her friends in high school, and will miss the bonding and friendships she made.
Malia says the best tips for figuring out what to do after High school are asking a lot of questions to people, and to follow your passions.
Malia did an internship at Corden Pharma for P-TECH last summer, but does not have a regular job outside of school. Her biggest role model in life is her mom, who she looks up to.
Malia has been a great student throughout high school, getting good grades and participating in many activities. She loves to challenge herself by taking harder level classes. Malia has left a mark at Frederick High School and will be missed next year.
