Lights, Camera, Action! Ready to walk on that red carpet? To see the flashes of lights as you walk inside the building? Welcome to Frederick-Hollywood as the theme for Homecoming! A night to remember for all who attended! Grab your ticket, quick! See the flashing lights, the red carpet rolled out? That’s for you! Walking into the main lobby of Frederick High School, transformation occurred into a paparazzi show!
Come welcome yourself and your group while walking on the rolled red carpet and taking pictures with props! Live a real-life experience of a celebrity with Paparazzi, then grab your picture to remember! That’s only the start of it; the night’s still young; live to it! Walk outside the doors of the lobby to the courtyard. Watch it be transformed into a perfect space for dancing! The music flowing into your ears, the crowd of people around you. What could be a better experience? And if dancing isn’t your style, don’t worry, and definitely don’t leave! There’s still a game of UNO to be counted in! Sit around in a circle and either watch or deal into the game. Who’s the last to get UNO?
Lucky for you, if you happen to have gotten hungry a few hours just after the dance started, the snack table’s opened for everyone! Your choice of chips, crackers, and biscuits, as well as small refreshments just ready for you. Sit down on the grass or one of the tables and simply relax for a few moments, watch everyone enjoy themselves, talk about life, and stargaze. The possibilities are endless! Going back to relaxing, after a while of dancing, your feet are bound to hurt, your body might be sore, and you might feel like it was 2 in the morning. Lucky for us, the courtyard provided a nice space of grass for anyone to relax, or really, anywhere, seats, rocks, etc.
Enjoying the last few minutes of staying inside the courtyard, the music calming down, the crowds dispersing, I think everyone can agree that homecoming this year was an amazing experience, and to anyone who didn’t go, consider coming next year! It’s an event nobody will forget. Frederick definitely throws one of the best dances; go Golden Eagles!
