Rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been releasing diss tracks about each other over the past week

Drake and Kendrick Lamar have had long lasting drama between them which has gotten worse over the past weekend with both of them releasing diss tracks about each other. The feud between the two rappers originally started in 2011 when Drake dropped his album Take Care. On this album he has Lamar featured on the song Buried Alive. At the time, Kendrick was very up and coming and he had Drake on his second album. In 2012, Drake asked Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky to be his opening acts on his tour. In 2013, Kendrick made a song called Control with Big Sean. In this song he calls out a lot of the big names in rap basically saying that he has love for them but he’s trying to “unalive” them. Drake and Big Sean are two of the names that he calls out. Later that year, Lamar came for Drake again at the BET awards where he says nothing has been the same since he dropped Control and goes on to call Drake a fake.

In October 2023, Drake released a new album For All The Dogs. On this album, he has J. Cole featured on First Person Shooter. In J. Cole’s verse, “Love when they argue the hardest MC/ Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?” K-Dot was Kendrick Lamar’s original stage name before he changed it. J. Cole also says in the song that they are the big three, basically saying they started the league. In March of this year, Kendrick was featured on the Metro Boomin and Future song Like that. In his verse he calls out Drake and J.Cole for First Person Shooter. “F*** sneak dissin’, first person shooter” He goes on to say there is no big 3 it’s just him.

In April, Drake responded to this by releasing a diss track called Push Ups. In the song he makes fun of Kendrick for being 5 ‘5, he also brings up Lamar’s previous record label TopDog saying “TopDog told you to drop and give me 50 like its push ups”. What Drake is referring to is that 50% of Kendrick’s earnings go to the label. Drake then dropped another diss track called Taylor Made freestyle. In this song Drake says Lamar is waiting for Taylor Swift’s new album to drop so then he could drop his diss track. Kendrick Lamar is featured on the Taylor Swift song Bad Blood which was Lamar’s first Number 1 on the charts. Drake is suggesting that Taylor is basically Kendrick’s new TopDog.

Kendrick then responded to all of this with a song called Euphoria. The song was originally 19 minutes long but he had to cut it to 6 minutes. In this song he calls out Drake’s alleged plastic surgery. Lamar also comes for Drake’s skin color asking how many more black features he needs to feel black enough. Lamar goes off on how he hates Drake in this song. “Now let me say I’m the biggest hater/ I hate the way that you walk, the way tht you talk, I hate the way that you dress/ I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight its gon’ be direct” The same day, Drake comes out with another diss track Family Matters. In this song he calls out Kendrick for being a fake activist. He also brings up Kendrick’s long term partner. Drake also calls out Lamar for allegedly hitting his partner and asking if it’s just self defense since she is taller than him.

Minutes later Kendrick responds with another diss track titled Meet The Grahams. In this song Lamar does four different verses. The first one is addressed to Drake’s son, Adonis. The next one is addressed to Drake’s mom Sandra, the third one is addressed to Drake and the last one is addressed to an 11 year old girl who is allegedly Drake’s daughter who he never sees or has spoken publicly about. In Meet The Grahams, Kendrick also calls Drake a deadbeat and an alcoholic.

The latest diss track from Lamar, Not Like Us calling Drake a pedophile and saying he likes them young. “Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles” Kendrick also goes on to say “Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A-minor” Kendrick made the cover photo of this song Drake’s house. Drake has been quiet ever since Not Like Us has been released. Drake’s relationship with actress Millie Bobby Brown is being brought up since they have been close friends for a while. In an interview Millie says they went out to dinner a few times and Drake even gave her boy advice which is very weird considering the age gap between them. In an interview at the Emmys, Millie says they text all the time and he texted her saying “I missed you so much” Millie was 14 at the time, Drake was 31. This situation has also happened with other celebrities as well. Drake had a close relationship with Billie Eilish when she was 17. Drake made a disgusting comment about Billie Eilish in a song saying “She had big t**s like Billie Eilish but she couldn’t sing” This made fans very uncomfortable about their relationship and wondered why Drake would put that in his song after knowing her since she was a teenager.

Nobody has released any more diss tracks yet. Currently more people are on Kendrick’s side after finding out everything about Drake. Nobody knows how long this will last or when it will stop.
