Pain on the Inside

She’s smiling so bright

hoping to hide all of her

pain on the inside.

Always making jokes,

she just does it to not make

her mother worry.

Behind her lovely,

large, shining blue eyes, there is

such a vast sadness.

Underneath all the

beautiful makeup lie her

insecurities.

She cares for others–

she cares so, so much– but she

needs caring too.

She goes to great lengths

For the people she loves, but

who will do the same?
