From March 13th to March 17th Frederick High School is holding wish week. While many schools participate in wish week this is Frederick’s first year.

Throughout wish week we will come together as a school to support a kiddo who’s part of the make a wish program. Stuck leader Aubrey Marsolic and her team have worked very hard to put this all together for Matthew. Aubrey said “We have been planning with a week since the beginning of January. Many hours have been put into each event in hopes to make the week very meaningful to our school’s community.”

In the coming week, there will be a new thing every day to support wish week, and you can buy a wish week t-shirt during lunch to help support, or talk to Mrs. Kirshner about getting a shirt. All proceeds will go towards the fundraiser. Junior Angie Michel said “Wish week to me means a lot. I’ve always had people around me that I love to be impacted by an illness. It is great to finally give back to an organization that is based on caring for those who fall under any illness.”

Starting on Monday there will be a co-ed dodgeball tournament in the FHS gym from 5:00-7:00, and an orchestra concert at 7:00.

Tuesday there will be the girls’ tennis first match at 3:30 against Erie, the boy’s varsity baseball game at 4:00 against Mead, and the girls’ soccer team against Mead at 6:00. If you wear your wish week shirt to the baseball or soccer game you can get in free while all other proceeds go to the fundraiser. Also, otter pops will be sold at the Baseball game.

Wednesday there will be the Tri-Town Community Night, with games, a bake sale, an Italian soda bar, movies, and much more!!

Thursday there will be a Qudoba dinner fundraiser from 4:00-8:00.

Friday will conclude the wish week… but if you can’t participate in the after-school activities there will be a school-wide spirit week.
